Agility training
ENGAGE YOUR DOG’S MIND AND BODY
Team up with your dog to navigate obstacle courses together! Our agility program is suitable for dog/handler teams who aim to compete and those who simply want to enrich their dog’s life and their own.
Price: $35 per dog, per class — billed monthly on an ongoing basis.
Instructor approval is required to enroll in these classes. To begin Agility Foundation classes, dogs must be at least 12 months old and able to work off-leash with their handlers in a stimulating, high-energy environment. A strong training foundation—including sit, down, stay, and a reliable recall despite distractions—is essential to ensure both safety and success in group agility classes. Please review the ADVANCED SKILLS required before enrolling.
We offer four levels of agility classes: Sports Prep / Agility Foundation / Intermediate / Competition and also Control Unleashed Agility, a unique class specifically designed for reactive or sensitive dogs.
SPORTS PREP: Pre-Agility
This is a class designed for dogs and handlers wanting to enter agility, obedience, rally or other dog sports. Topics covered: body awareness, targeting, confident interaction with objects, handler focus and engagement.
Prerequisites: Manners 2, Puppy 3, or instructor permission. If you are unsure, please schedule a Sports Prep assessment for instructor permission or contact us.

Agility Foundation
Topics covered: Body awareness, core strength, obstacle and handler focus, shadow handling, and beginning obstacle training (table, tunnel, jumps, contacts and weaves) and more!

AGILITY INTERMEDIATE
Topics: Full height contact obstacles, weaves in line, and sequences of up to 10 obstacles with up to three crosses.

Agility COMPETITION
In this class we work on full length (20 obstacle) sequences. Every week, we walk the course, analyze handling choices, and then each team gets two three minute turns to work the sequence and train through new challenges.

CONTROL UNLEASHED 4: AGILITY MIXED LEVEL
CU Part 4: Agility Mixed Level teaches dog/handler agility teams how to apply Control Unleashed approaches to agility challenges. Work through specific agility issues using, (sniffing, barking, anxiety, attention, arousal) in a group class setting.
